  • OVERVIEW OF OUR GUESTS' ON-LINE COMMENTS:

    For those of you who do not want to read all the individual on-line comments entered by our past guests, here is an overview/summary of the comments divided into four general categories that characterize our guests' feedback & experiences at Rocky Retreat:

    1. OVERALL:
      • Rocky Retreat is gorgeous! Having rented quite a few cabins in the Tahoe area, I felt this to be by far the best appointed, cleanest, and most nicely decorated. It feels like a real home, with lovely furniture and appliances. Gail, the manager, was also quite a pleasure to do business with - unfailingly attentive and helpful.

      • This is a little bit of heaven. I've been coming to Tahoe for 36 years. This is THE BEST!

      • This house is fabulous! It was delightful to arrive & find the house to be even better than your description on the internet.

      • Everything surpassed our expectations. We really enjoyed the hot tub.

      • Your cabin/home was absolutely beautiful. You leave nothing to be desired in your home.

      • The very best vacation rental our family has ever experienced.
    2. LOCATION:
      • The house is in a great location--close to beautiful Kings Beach, close to great hiking and close to casinos. The fenced back yard is great for kids and the house is in a nice & safe neighborhood. This house was immaculate which we really liked!

      • This house is in a great location, and extremely quiet (except for our 6 kids!)

      • The location is ideal for access to North Tahoe ski areas, and for rainy days it's a quick walk to casinos & video arcades, or an easy drive to Incline Village, Tahoe City, Truckee and Carson City!

      • We liked the rustic charm of tall pines, bluebirds and squirrels and the close proximity to shopping and beaches.

      • Your backyard is beautiful & the little beach is one of the nicest places I've ever seen.

      • A spectacular beach and bouldered cove await following a beautiful 5 min walk down to the lake.
    3. SIZE:
      • There were only 3 of us, and although the home accommodates many more people, it never felt too large.

      • This place is wonderful! It was large & open enough to accommodate our entire family without being crowded. We enjoyed the views from the deck & relaxing back yard.

      • Rocky Retreat was the perfect place for our party of 8 adults. This home is extremely spacious, clean and the fenced backyard and warm garage made it very comfortable for me to leave my dog while we were out.

      • There was plenty of room for all of us and there were lots of us (8 adults & 5 kids)!
    4. FURNISHINGS & EQUIPMENT:
      • The house was furnished wonderfully and there was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen.

      • The house was very well equipped- the property owners have thought of everything.

      • The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious.

      • The home was comfortable, quiet, supplied with plenty of blankets, towels, even games, and included just about every serving dish you could imagine!

  • ABOUT OUR ON-LINE GUESTBOOK:

    THE HomeAwayConnect GUESTBOOK website is our on-line Rocky Retreat guestbook that contains comments that were INDEPENDENTLY entered by some of our guests:

    • The HomeAwayConnect GUESTBOOK is an INDEPENDENTLY MANAGED guestbook & calendar for vacation rental homes.

    • Owners CANNOT alter the entries made by guests.

    • If an owner deletes any guest-entered entry, that entry is logged as a negative rating.

    • You will notice that this guestbook allows two types of entries:
      1. Ones made directly into the on-line HomeAwayConnect guestbook by guests who have stayed at Rocky Retreat

        • Currently there more than 45 such guest entered positive comments in our on-line guestbook.

        • We have noticed that most other rental properties who also have on-line guestbooks have very few independent entries while we have an abundance of them!

        • We are very pleased that so many of our guests have been so happy with their experiences at Rocky Retreat that they have made the effort & taken the time to enter their positive comments into our on-line guestbook!

      2. “Guest Comments Entered by the Homeowner,” which are comments left in the real guestbook at the house that we have then transcribed into the on-line guestbook ourselves.

        • Currently there are over 25 such positive comments in our on-line guestbook.

        • There are actually many additional positive comments that have been left in our guestbook at the house that we have chosen NOT to enter into the on-line guestbook because, while they are all positive, they are also repetitious!
